Bricked iphone?

I own an Iphone 1st generation but it doesn't turn on! I connected to my pc and tried to restore it but it give me error 1603. I tried many methods which I have read but nothing seems to work:| Please help me!

Update your iTunes, switch to a different USB port on your computer as well as a different dock to USB connector cable, and restart your computer after you finish updating iTunes. Also, make sure you have Apple's Mobile Device Service running in the background services.
