Upon trying to uninstall an app from Cydia on my iPod touch (4th Generation, Running iOS 5.0.1) the iPod froze up completely.

I've uploaded an image here

Should I just wait for the battery to die, or is there anything I can do in the meantime? The iPod is completely unresponsive, and won't come up in windows explorer or iTunes.

"Frozen" is far different from "bricked".

Did you try holding down the home and power button for 5-10 seconds to see if the iPod would do a hard reset? If done correctly, the iPod screen should go black and then the Apple logo should appear and finish restarting shortly after

As mentioned above, it's completely unresponsive
