Had an issue with my phone and decided to do a restore and jailbreak from scratch. My phone gets halfway through the restore and then it justs sits there. iTunes is on Restoring iPhone Software. It has sat there for a solid half hour now. I have tried this several times, and with the same result each time. Am I bricked? If so, has the jailbreak portion of the OS at least been wiped out to where I can bring it in to the Apple store?

EDIT: Whew....turns out it was a bad IPSW file. Redownloaded 5.1.1 and it worked first try.

You should also post the source that you downloaded the iPSW from so that others can avoid it if need be.

Glad yout got it fixed.

Any idea how to mark resolved using tapatalk?

Both the bad and good ipsw files were downloaded straight from iTunes. Somehow the one I had downloaded when I originally updated to 5.1.1 got corrupted. I deleted it and forced iTunes to download again.
