iPod touch Bridgeing to my iPod

I have a second generation iPod Touch and wanted to know if I am in a place with no wifi but with a wired ethernet connection can I use my macBook to somehow bridge the internet over to my ipod?

I also wanted to know if I am in another situation with Wifi but no wired connection can I use my MacBook to bridge the internet from the wifi signal to a vonage modem which requires a wired connection?
