I recently upgraded to the new 15" rMBP with touch bar from a mid-2012 rMBP earlier this week and I'm loving the change in performance. However, with that being said, I am noticing a brief moment of lag every time I launch Safari after it's been quit. Doesn't matter if it's right after I power the machine on or after multiple Safari sessions have occurred. I tried changing the "new windows open with" setting to see if that had any influence and noticed the same behavior. Then I thought maybe it's my browsing history which I brought over from my old rMBP so I cleared that out (as there were several years worth) and still nothing.

Is this normal behavior when opening Safari or is there something out of the ordinary here? The lag occurs immediately after Safari is launched, right before my favorites are shown on the main screen.

Update: Turns out it's from my AdBlock extension - when disabled Safari instantly starts up with no lag whatsoever. I'm going to replace it.
