Bright colors picture crashing iPhone

Today I received this picture on Whatsapp, if you open it, it looks like a thin line, if you zoom on it, it has bright colors and if you hit "back" the iPhone crashes.

Does anyone has received this photo or have any info on why this crashes the iPhone.

Maybe an issue with whatsapp crashing the phone? Not an iOS issue?

Sounds like a potential WhatsApp bug.
