My 15" rMBP has developed a bright spot on the screen, about 4mm diameter. It is not a cluster of dead pixels as it appears as a bright patch of whatever colour is displayed, and its intensity decreases/increases as I adjust the screen brightness.

The rMBP is just over a year old (pre-ordered when they first came out) and has an LG screen.

You can see it just to the right of the BT Business logo in the attached photo of the screen (it doesn't show in screen captures) but it is much more noticeable than appears in the photo (it's difficult to get a good photo of a screen because of the moiré effect).

Anyone else seen this? I assume that it will never fix itself and may even get worse?

I have exactly the same problem, except mine's on the lower left hand corner. I've had my machine for about a year and it's been there a reasonable chunk of the time (I don't remember exactly when it started), but hasn't gotten worse, I don't think. My screen's a Samsung.
