Brightness & Battery Performance on rMBP

Just wondering how people usually manage the brightness on their rMBP?

I'm trying to find the most efficient use of batter, but using "auto" is kind of irritating because it sometimes goes too bright and eats up more batter than I would like.

What do you guys usually do, set it manually or leave it on auto? What setting do you find is ideal, 4... 5?

Yeah, 4 to 5 is best for the battery. Anything darker made it hard to see and uses up more battery on my rMBP.
