brightness keeps changing on my MBP

i'd like to have one brightness when my MBP is plugged in and another when it's not. for some reason my screen keeps going back to full brightness after i turn it off or leave it plugged in for a long time. not sure why this is starting to happen.

any thoughts?

I also notice when you plug in the macbook pro the screen gets brighter and when you unplug it the screen goes a little darker.


Is that normal?

It didn't make a difference when check or uncheck in the setting above.

Yep, that's normal too.

Yea I had the same problems but found out that your system settings does that on purpose to not damage your eyes ...

System settings > Displays > uncheck "automatically adjust brightness etc"
