Brightnest and Sound not working

I just received my new macbook pro and installed and put windows vista on it then over the top of it I put Windows 7 upgrade.I know when you push Fn and F1 the brightness should change it doesn't come up.The sound icons on the keyboard also don't work and the eject button also.I tried reinstalling all the drivers and that didn't work anybody have any ideas?

hit the FN key while hitting those buttons

or go into system preferences (under the apple menu) select keyboard then make sure you're on the keyboard tab, there's an option there to change how that works.

edit, that second part is OS X only, but the first part should work in windows.
