bring back desktop icons

I used some app to have my desktop not showing any icons..i forgot what its called.. something about leopard tweaks or secrets... but now I want my desktop to show items again and I dont know how. I go to finder > preferences and check all the boxes there but its still not showing up.. can anyone help? thanks

sudo chflags nohidden /

just did.. typed in my password.. then nothing happened.

Terminal doesn't say anything. Are the boxes still checked in Finder prefs?

yup ..terminal doesnt say anything..the boxes are still checked.. I logged off..still nothing.

Hmmm ... I'm stumped. You might try downloading Secrets again and see if you can find it in there.
