Bringing iphone to apple genius...how do i restore?

Ok I have to go see a genius tomorrow (prox sensor prob)

I have an iPh4 iOS5 JB'd with redsn0w

Do I have to restore my phone if I go see them?

If, so do i have to "restore from itunes" or do I have another option?

Put the phone in DFU mode and restore it in Itunes.

You have a tethered jailbreak and if genius reboot, it will hang. So, restore it before you bring the phone to them.

you could not take it to Apple... yes if your taking it to Apple Restore.

Yes, you will need to restore it to stock firmware.
If you bring it in JB you're risking not getting service or having the warranty voided on that device.

backed up & did a restore to factory... then i synced to my backup (from this morning)

they never knew it had ever been JB'd and gave me a new iphone 4!!!

now hopefully this prox sensor works better
