hello, havin trubble with my broadband connection, was wondering if the nice people on the macrumors forums cud lend the extensive expertiese once again...
heres the deal: 1 router, 1 adsl 1Mps connection, 1 imac on 10.1.5, 1 laptop on xp, 1 korean language pc on Xp, all hooked up with correct wires into appropriate place, korean PC has the usb and 1 ethernet connection to the router. two PCs can see each other on the network, havin trubble aceseing each other computer, not that big a problem just now. the laptop cant see the adsl connection, duont kno wot to do, tried everything, is ther sum knack?!
other main problem, broadband isnt working properly... mayb 1 in 10 websites works, usally isnt that fast, peer to peer is well up into the 50k/s, and i redowloaded IE to see if it was a browser installing error thing config thing at 90k/s. but i was lucky that www.microsoft.com was one of the site that was working at the time. the company, prodigynet.co.uk, sed its prob a DNS problem, but after much fidling its not fixed, set up the router exactly how we wer supposed to according tot eh settings we wer given... plus its on 'NAPT' if that helps
