I ve got a 17"imac + G3 ibook. connected to broadband via a netgear thingy for wireless connection. Problem is that it they can, on a regular basis, disconnect from internet and despite retrys can take some minutes b4 going back online,. happens on both units and doesnt matter iif on safari or IE. However, if downloading great big files or on itunes radio, they stay on. Problem appears every day and seem worse when you have downloaded a page- then read it (a minute +/- then try to connect to another page/site. Any ideas pour favor.

Watch the sense lights on your modem. If you have ISP problems, then those lights will be out when you have connection problems. If your modem seems OK, then the problem is likely to be your router. If the problem is your router, then chuck it and buy a Linksys.
