So I run an internet radio show, but I rely on my freind coming round to lend me his laptop to broadcast in....
So I'm looking at options, I can't broadcast direct from my laptop, as I use and external dj mixer with built in soundcard, and because of that, the broadcasting tools I use won't pick it up as an audio input.
So what I've been contemplating doing is either
1. Buying a phono splitter, splitting the audio out on my dj controller, one to the amp as usual, and then one into a phono to ethernet converter, having the ethernet convert plugged into a home plug, which in turn routes the audio to my mac pro, which can then broadcast it.
2. Again using a phono splitter, splitting the output to a usb card for my macbook pro, and routing that back as an input into the macbook pro I'm dj'ing off to broadcast from there.
Does anyone have any experience of doing either of these?
