Placed my order, that is! This will replace my iMac.
2.93 Quad Core with 8G and a 1TB HD. I stayed with the GeForce GT 120 graphics board.

What has everyone's build / shipping time been like lately? Since I didn't get a really major configuration change/adds I'm hoping it will be quick!

I ordered mine on Monday, got it on Friday the same week.
2.66 Quad, 4870HD, 6GB

Took about a week to get mine. Mine was a basic build with the wireless card the only option.

Congrats BTW. :)

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention, this unit will be for photo processing (Aperture, CS4)

Delivery sounds rather quick, looking forward to it!

2.66 CPU (will go for 3.33 w3580 early next year as others are having much success with the transplant :D )
8GB RAM (4x2GB)
ATi Radeon 4870 video
640GB HD (added 1TB as secondary)
18x superdrive (added HP 6120 optical drive as secondary)

In addition to the cinema displays from Apple, what is everyone's recommendation for some good displays in the 24 - 26" range?

Mark

Congratulations! You might consider beefing up the ram on it but that is the only thing I would probably do in the beginning.

Congratz on your new beast, surely you'll enjoy it :):apple::)

I have an NEC LCD2490WUXi. Quite nice, but it's more expensive than the Dell listed above by Thessman. You didn't give a budget. :p

Congrats on your beast, I got the 2.66GHz and upped the RAM to 12GB (3x4GB) and added a 640GB Caviar Black for the system drive, made the stock drive (I got the Hitachi) a Time Machine backup, and got two 1TB Blacks for scratch disk.

I kept the 120 for now and I use a refurb 24" LED ACD, which was like new (finally I got an awesome refurb piece).

I love mine. I still think the case is incredible.
