Broke down and bought a new MBA today after weeks of deliberation.
Opted to buy from Costco for their 90 return policy and the $50 reduction for AC+, but I’m not a return kind of guy unless I end up real unhappy with it.
My Costco did not have what went in to purchase Initially. (i3/8/256 in space gray) I ended up getting an i5/8/256 in silver) I’ve set it up and it is currently installing an update.
It’s been quite some time since I’ve really done much on my old MB so I was a bit rusty on things.
(like removing stuff from the dock, setting up the trackpad, etc)
I did the setup on the battery charge that came with it. It is now plugged in and doing it’s thing.
Now I just need how to activate my free 12 months of ATV service.
Anyone know how that’s done?
Thanks. S

Hey congrats on your new MBA! You can activate your AppleTV+ service by opening the app and you should get a prompt.

Thanks. Got it.

FYIW, got it all set up and got my music library in. That alone took about 7 hours overnight.
All indexing appears to be done and I have yet to hear the the fan even once. I would think it doesn't even have one, if I didn't know otherwise.
The warmest it has gotten is about the equivalent of putting my hand on my bare leg.
I will not attempt to refute other experiences of folks here have had with 2020 MBAs, but my own experience has shown my MBA to better than expected given all the complaints.
The thing that has really stood out to me is the speakers. S

edit....I do think the trackpad could be smaller.
