So I accidentally ripped out my LCD thermal sensor, but luckily the cable is still intact. Unfortunately, I broke the plastic that keeps the cable in. I think the copper connection things are still in-tact but they are really tiny, I don’t know much about computers so it might be completely fine that it’s tiny but I just want to make sure.

How would I go about plugging the LCD thermal sensor in? Should I try to bend the copper connection things down to connect with the cable? Or is there a better way to do it? I’m open to anything, except soldering please.

I have an 27" 2010 i3 iMac.

Got any pictures to get a clearer indication on the situation ?

Sorry that I didn't get back to you quicker but I think I have fixed the problem.

I just bent the copper connection things down and plugged in the cable, and secured it with some tape. Though, I had to use Macs Fan Control to actually fix the fan problem, which I couldn't do before, so I think I somewhat fixed it?

I want to unplug the LCD thermal sensor cable and see if Macs Fan Control works but I'm too worried my problem will come up again so, I guess I'll leave it as is.
