Broke Screen - Please help

Yo, I have had a macbook 13" pro since they first came out. Had no problems at all apart from a dodgy screen. For a while, really thin white lines went across the screen but now the whole screen has gone grey. Ive read about this grey screen of death and I dont think it is this because it works fine. Just need a solution to the problem? Cheers - Charlie

Is it under warranty? Did you actually break it, as your thread title states?

I don't think it is under warranty, but no sorry for the confusion I didn't break it. The computer still works fine, as in an external display makes the computer perfectly functionable. And if I fiddle with the screen a little, the picture comes back for a short amount of time... I will take it to the apple shop to see how much they want to fix it, but I'm sure it will be a lot so maybe I will look for a private repair.
