Basically one of my keys wasn't getting so springy any more, so I took off the keys as wanted to swapped out the plastic scissor thing with another key that I didn't use at all.
However in the process, I accidentally broke one of spongey stuff (actually it was already half broken before I messed around with it). Refer to the picture below if you don't know which part I'm talking about. It basically can't be reattached without some kind of adhesive.
Picture of the springy thing (very centre of both keys/not my picture)
Well anyway, I placed it back and put the key back over it, and surprisingly it still works even though it's no longer stuck in it's place. It's really responsive and the key is more springy than before because I replaced the plastic scissor. Even when pressing the key down multiple times lightly, it captures the keystroke every single time.
But anyway I'd like to get it fixed anyway. Help me decide on the following:
1) Should I glue it back? If so, what kind of glue should I use so that I don't end up short circuiting the whole computer.
2) Should I go down to AppleCare and tell them that it just broke and see if they will replace it for me?
3) Or should I just leave it alone since it's working fine now?
Thanks.
