Broken App switching... and no forcequit?

This happened to me while working on my finals. Switched applications... and it stuck. Tried to force quit but after I restarted the finder and quit all other apps, it was still there. Tried to logout, but it timed out... three finger salute and all was well. Have not been able to repeat it.

So is there a terminal line I can use to reboot app switching?

Did. No changes. Was ok.

[edit] I think I figured it out. I'm using an old ver of neooffice, downloading the upgrade now... looks like I'm many versions off.
