Broken bar on MacBook Pro

So... I tried to close the lid of my MacBook, but forgot something was on top of my keyboard. On closing this small plastic bar on the bottom of the screen (which seems very fragile btw) broke.

Any tips on fixing/hiding this eyesore....??

The "black tape" fix may sound patronizing, but it might actually be the only low-cost solution.

To get that fixed probably means getting the entire display replaced -- a VERY expensive job.
