In an attempt to fix my digitizer, I seemed to have broken my LCD connector. (getting a white screen now but everything else seems to be working right such as i can hear when someone is texting or calling me) I'm worried that it might be the connection on the motherboard instead of Cable 1. Is there any way I can decipher between which might be broken? I was just going to order an entire new digitizer/screen/lcd assembly off of ebay for about thirty dollars, but If cable one isn't what is broken here I'd rather not spend the money.

If this is the same phone where you got water damage, IMO it has nothing to do with a ribbon breaking. It's probably your PCB. I don't know how much all this has cost you, but it might have been better just to pay the out of warranty cost for a new phone.
