Broken iMac as monitor

I have an old broken iMac. The motherboard kept failing so we kept bringing it in and eventually decided just to buy a new computer. When you turn it on a blue screen appears. So the screen works but the internals don't. Is there any way to use this as an external monitor for my MacBook Air?

No, on the iMacs that support Target Display Mode, the logicboard must be in proper working condition.
