Broken iPhone 3G screen, what to do?

So apparently the iPhone isnt completely indestructible as it lost in a fight with the sidewalk after I dropped it the other day. It still works surprisingly well, its just has a number of cracks in the screen which are pretty annoying. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you get it fixed? How much did it cost you? I'm considering holding out for another couple months and hoping for a new model since it does still work, and I figure AT&T may offer an upgrade path at that point (or others will start selling their current ones for cheap).
