"Broken" iPhone 4.. Should I shell out the extra money?

So my current iPhone 4 has a jammed power button and it is quite annoying.... my warranty ended and my contract doesn't end till March of '12. What is the best thing to do right now?

If I was you, I'd take it in to an Apple retail store (to the Genius Bar) to see if they can fix it. I've had a couple of out-of-warranty iPhones with hardware issues fixed without being charged.

Won't hurt to make an appointment with a genius and see if they can fix or replace it for you.

See what the genius will say. Sometimes you'll get lucky.

Definitely take it in and see what they'll do for you. Worse case scenario they'll replace it for $149.

If you're handy, you might try fixing it yourself. Alternately, have someone do it for you.

I would take it to Apple first. Their customer service is second to none. And since they prefer to replace than repair, you could end up with a brand new phone!
