broken iphone/screen/lcd SWITCHAROO

i own a working 16g 3g phone. My buddy had his 8g 3g run oVer by a car. The screen was smashed. I used my LCD and touch screen on his to test it and when it turns on I only get vertical black and green lines. I put the screen and LCD back into my phone and it works. Is there any other parts I can replace that might have been damaged. Visually the inside behind the LCD looks fine.
Please help me out as I can have this phone for my wife if I can get it fixed

hard to tell without seeing it but it sounds as if the motherboard got damaged. look at the lcd pin #1 and compare to yours to see if any of the pins are damaged.

Like the previous poster said, most likely the connection to the LCD on the logic board is damaged. You took it apart, so you know there's nothing between the LCD connection and board.
