Hi,
I was thinking of selling a few broken Iphones I had laying around for parts, these were my personal phones from over the years.
(A couple of them won't turn on and one of them will but the touch screen is broken).
However, could a judicious hacker buy the phones and then get the data off of them even if they are dead?
The completely dead phones, there's no way for me to wipe them (even via icloud), no clue what data maybe on them
or if a hacker could resurrect the phone and get that data?
The phone which turns on, I was able to "restore" via iTunes, supposedly this is a way to wipe your phone if you can't use the touch the screen. https://www.technipages.com/wipe-data-from-ios-broken-screen
After the restore, that phone comes up with the "Hello" screen, but when I plug the phone into my Mac
and check it under Itunes and space it lists:
600 MB - Documents & Data
240 MB - Other
Is that data from the fresh IOS install or is it still hanging onto data that was previously on the phone?
