Hi,

First time poster here.

The LaunchServices DB in OS X 10.10.2 is giving me a hard time. After a clean install of Yosemite I am unable to set file associations from within apps. For example: The Unarchiver - When I click the checkboxes for file associations in the preferences they don't get selected. In LilyView (my Preview.app replacement) when it asks me if I want to set it as the default image viewer for multiple formats nothing really happens when I click "Make default".

I am able to set file associations manually (via context menu or file info) and via RCDefaultApp, but it's messy and I'd mostly have to set them one-by-one.

I've tried multiple fixes, including rebuilding LaunchServices with OnyX, Cocktail and removing the LS plist altogether. Nothing works.

Never had this issue. Before the clean install I also had Yosemite, but upgraded from 10.9 to 10.10 beta to 10.10 stable and there was no problem with this.

Any ideas?
