Macbook Pro 2.16Ghz Intel core 2 duo. Has 2 GB of RAM. With 120GB HD.

The MBP was dropped and apparently only the screen is broken and the guy is selling for $400.

He said he can test it with external screen.

Good buy? If not, what's the reasonable price? Thinking of getting this as desktop...... What should I be aware of for a dropped MBP? What other common defective is known for dropped laptop?

do you guys think if only the LCD is damage, this is reasonable price?

Yes to answer the OP's original question. Yes I think $400 would be a good price for a C2D MBP. If that's all that's wrong with it. The screens are only a few hundred. That MBP goes for over twice as much if it were fully functional.

Why not go a lower offering price? The worst the seller can say is no. I'd buy it for $400 and fix the screen but that is just me.
