Hey!

Was just curious if Apple Service Providers only replace the LCD panel when it is broken but everything else is 100% fine or the entire thing (glass, panel, etc)?

Also, do they have to delete all data on the Mac? Or is it not required for this kind of repair?

If you're referring to your MBP Retina 13" 2016 model.... Apple will replace the entire display assembly. As far as your data is concerned, you should make a backup using CCC and/or Time Machine just in case. Although I don't believe Apple will wipe the data from your Mac.
