I have recently experienced my lock button on top of my iPhone 4 has broken internally. I have to press extremely hard to even lock my phone. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Nope, I'd bring it in to Apple to have it replaced.

As for any of us experiencing that problem. No.

It's not common but it happens to some people.
