Broken Macbook Pro

Howdy,

I picked up a water damaged MBP 15" non-uni w/charger today.
Previous owner could not get it to boot, or even chime for that matter.

I opened the thing up not knowing what to expect, and there is some serious residue from the accident (what looks like corrosion). Strangely though, I pressed the power button and it turned on after tinkering around on the inside a bit! I think the battery only has a few cycles too!

My questions now are...
1.) What is the best cleaning agent for the components inside?
2.) What would be a good price point (for eBay or Craigslist) for a laptop of it's sort.

For the price, you'd need to test it to see its condition and what it can do, faults etc...

diluted ethanol with a toothbrush to clean the components.
