Hi everyone,

My 13-inch white Macbook screen was cracked. I need a replacement and was looking at the following ones from ebay:

1- http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-APPLE-MacBo...ryZ31569QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

2- http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-APPLE-MACBO...ryZ31569QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

3- http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-APPLE-MACBO...ryZ31569QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

4- http://cgi.ebay.com/A-NEW-APPLE-MAC...ryZ31569QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Is this all I need?

Once I receive it, should I go to a computer store to have it installed?

Thanks a lot,

Teiki

Well, the Apple Store won't just put it in for you, and taking it to a general computer tech may or may not get you the results that you want. If you're comfortable, you could always try doing it yourself, though I've heard that LCD screen replacements can be tedious.

This may help you out though, if you do want to try and tackle it alone.

I would personally trust myself a whole lot more than some random computer tech. I've seen some botched jobs... good luck!

PS: I don't know if your MB is still under Appplecare, but replacing the LCD yourself (or with a 3rd party tech, or through anyone that isn't apple) will void what remains of your applecare. Just something to think about.
