Broken microphone ribbon cable during battery replacement

While changing my battery in my 3G, I managed to sever the ribbon cable that connects the microphone to the speaker module. If I order the replacement Phone 3G Docking & Charging Port Connector 821-0551-A, will I need to solder it to the speaker module? Or do I also need to order a replacement speaker module? Its not real clear from looking at the replacement parts available on the web and Any tips would be appreciated.
