So, I have an odd question. My mother snapped the hinges to her powerbook TI screen. It's not really an issue, she just hooks it up to an external monitor and bam, she's in business. The question I have is this: Can I just snip the cables and remove the screen completely, or will this cause some problem?

We just want to remove the screen completely so it's not in the way, but I don't want to be hasty and clip the cables without knowing what the damage could be (i.e. no longer working). Any help would be awesome.
