I placed a paperback book on my keyboard today while I was repositioning myself on the sofa. I accidentally pushed up on the book and somehow the book managed to get under my 6 key on my keyboard and pull the key up. After closer inspection I had to rebuild the scissor mechanism and snap that back into the holder, but I realized that one of the little hooks that holds the keyface down is snapped off. The key still works when pressed, but is a little loose and sticks up a bit above the other keys. I have an appointment at my local apple store today and was wondering if they would replace this for me or if I am wasting a trip. Paying for a quick in store maintenance would be great, or not paying at all would be better. I know I could buy this online and replace it myself but I figured I would ask here first to see if Apple would take care of this. If not, I won't make the hour trip down and will just buy it and do it myself.
