my watch 5 fell while I was trying to put it on. Height was about 1.2 meters felt on a tile floor on one side. Screen cracked and exploded on all 4 corners. Called apple and the say that that was a severe fall. How come an Apple Watch falls only ONCE Andthe screen explodes ???? It was perfect before that, now that it is useless I am think of replacing it with another brand. Watch OS is great but I think that they have to re design completely its housing. Apple support said that they are not going to take a look to find out if there is something in particular with my watch. They seemed surprised that it cracked from such a short height nevertheless they did not care. Not what I was expecting from them really.

You’re expecting way too much from your device.. Glass breaks very easily when striking a tile surface, just not every time... Angle of impact has a lot to do with it but even if the screen survives, you possibly would damage the case or cause damage to the internals... You can’t blame Apple for dropping the watch and then thinking it should of been able to handle the abuse...

Generally when someone posts their watch ‘broke, cracked, exploded’, it really doesn’t say much without pictures.
