I have a Brother HL-5170DN laser printer. I've connected it to my Time Capsule. I can connect to the printer over my wireless network from my MacBook (Snow Leopard) and wired with Ubuntu. I can run test pages fine form both. When I try to print from either machine, however, I get multiple pages of crap. Each page has a message that reads something like:

ERROR NAME;
undefined

COMMAND;
-12345X@PJL

OPERAND STACK;

Any idea what's wrong and how to fix?

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to install the latest 10.6 compatible brother printer drivers (from Brother.com) -and- select the BRScript 3 driver. That will fix the problem. (I had the same issue.)

Selecting a driver

Where/how do I select that driver? I installed the newest driver from the Brother website but don't see how to choose the option you mention.
