Brother printer update via Software Update

A Brother printer update has just appeared in my Software Update, to my surprise. I actually thought Apple had stopped offering Software Update to third parties, as the only other one I can think of is the Stuffit update that appeared several years ago on fresh installs of OS X (not sure if it still does).

Anyone else see it?

Just bought a new MBP, upgrading from a G4 Powerbook. The Brother Driver update was in a ton of updates when I signed on. Works fine!

Everyone and his Aunt Edna is fully aware that Apple has taken primary responsibility to distribute print drivers under Snow Leopard. Even before Snow Leopard, Apple distributed print drivers for such manufacturers as HP and Epson. Under this new arrangement, it is only logical that Apple would distribute updates to print drivers for major manufacturers.
