The title "BEST" browser is always subjective depending on the machine, user preferences, and browsing habits. There are a ton of browser comparisons on many Windows sites but nothing for a long time for Macs. The last one I saw was Tom's Hardware but they haven't done a 'Browser Showdown' in a while.
So I thought I'd do my own testing to see how the big 3 stack up. I tested Safari 8.0.6, Chrome 43, and Firefox 38, each with no extensions installed and only the Flash plugin, NNAPI on Safari and Firefox, and PPAPI on Chrome. I then scored the results and combined them for an aggregate. This is just my testing on my Mac, and for my own education. Your mileage may vary.
Personally, I prefer Safari for it's integration with OS X, it's battery efficiency on my Macbook Air, and it's syncing with iOS. I have Chrome and Firefox installed as well because I support users who prefer them and I need to test things from time to time, as well as IE on a Win7 box. By the way, the same testing on my Dell One 2330 with Windows 7 Pro had IE 11 a full 10 points behind Chrome and 8 points behind Firefox.
