browser chat rooms

I am looking for a way to create a chat room for free without downloading any programs. It's for another forum community I belong to.

I've tried temporary solutions like http://www.disposablechat.com/ and http://www.chatzy.com/ but they were a little buggy and not all people could connect.

I don't know much about IRC, but are there any other free solutions out there for me? It must be browser-based.

Mibbit was pretty good last time I used it, though apparently you have to sign up now. Still, definitely worth a try.

Chatzy allows you to create free rooms, and they also have a Premium room for $25 per quarter.

Mibbit looks nice but do they actually host the chat on their servers? I would need that - as I don't have a server to use.
