Hello All,

I currently use Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1 using a MacBook Air 2020 i3 1.1Ghz.
However when browsing the web in my free time it'll struggle loading certain websites. Examples include Adidas, Dyson, Twitter, BBC and Nike. They'll take about 5-10 seconds longer to load and when using menus that drop down when hovering my mouse over them it'll be slow to react.

Would this be down to the computer performance or the browser or the websites? I'm not too sure.
I don't have issues with these sites on my iPhone or iPad. Having said that I tend to use apps for shopping sites if possible.

I don't really want to move away from Safari but its a little annoying this keeps happening... Browser alternative suggestions would be great! Also I only use one Browser Extension which is Honey.

Does turning that one extension off change anything?

If not, why not try a different browser (or two, or three)?
There's:
- Brave
- Firefox
- iCab
- Opera
- Dissenter
- Epic
- Tor
etc.

No I've tried turning both off but nothing.
I'll give the other browsers a go and see if they improve things.

Thanks for taking the time to reply !

I had the same problem and I've found somewhere on Reddit that turning off this privacy setting helps, and it did for me:

I haven’t had any issues using Safari with 1Blocker (highly recommend). Things you could try:
1. Visiting those sites from a new private window. If this works, perhaps clear your cache/website data.
2. Enabling/Disabling iCloud Private Relay
3. Using an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi
4. Running speed tests (e.g., speedtest.net fast.com)
5. And if you want to see when your browser is waiting for network resources (e.g., images), you can use Safari’s Web Inspector: https://developer.apple.com/safari/tools/#current (check out the Network and Timelines section on that page)

Those sites load pretty much instantly for me with the Wipr ad-blocking extension and Hide IP address from trackers is checked. It must something in your setup.
