Browser for online banking/shopping?

I just got my first macbook so I don't know much about osx security. If I want to do some online banking and shopping, which browser should I use? Also, is OSX safe enough that as long as I connect at home with a WPA2 wireless network, my info will never be leaked or is there something more I have to do?

I always use Safari and I've never had any problems.

Back when I had a Windows machine I used Firefox just fine. With my iMac I use Safari exclusively and have had no problems at all with online banking/shopping. Good luck!

I use Safari for everything, however a couple of sites like eBay doesn't work with Safari, so for that use Firefox or Camino.

Safari will be fine.

Although OS X is secure, it doesn't protect from user stupidity - as in if you are shopping on what you think is a legit website and enter your bank detail.
