Im just bought a new macbook and im running into a problem with getting my browser to set at full screen. Firefox opens to maybe 90% full but still showing my side icons on the desktop. This might be an easy fix but im kinda clueless, this being my 1st mac and all.
I tried just clicking on the + but it only centers it.

Right now what its doing is sizing the window to the width of the web-page you're viewing, which is why it isn't going all the way to the side.

In the bottom right hand corner of the window, you should see 3 diagonal lines. if you click and drag them, it will resize the window to whatever size you want it to be.

Hope that helps :)

I'm presuming you mean it won't take precedence over the dock? If you set the dock to auto-hide (right-click on the separator on the dock and select 'Turn Hiding On' then try maximizing firefox, it'll go full screen. :)
