I stumbled upon a project on github called browserservice the other day and figured it may be something you all may find useful. It renders webpages on a more modern browser elsewhere and presents the final result in the browser of your older, less secure browser. It's a lot like web rendering proxy, but the difference between this and wrp is that the web pages are almost in real time! You can even watch youtube videos on it!(albeit slowly) Here's me using it on my iBook g3 with internet explorer on os9-
It's geared more toward wintel stuff in terms of looks and compatability, but theoretically should work on most web browsers that support javascript. It can also be quite slow, especially on older hardware like my 500mhz ibook(dropping the image quality helps out some), but it's quite usable with some patience. I tried it on my powermac g5 in interweb and the experience was quite smooth with websites like ebay or facebook compared to if i was loading them straight through the browser.
Here's the link to the github if anyone's interested-
