I thought it was awful. Borat was gold. I had been looking forward to this movie for so long, especially after the last movie I saw, and one of the few other movies I'd seen all year was also a complete dud (Brothers Bloom). This is why I don't go to the movie theater anymore.

Mods- please don't merge this thread with the other Bruno thread, this is about the movie overall, not about its offensiveness.

Waayy better than Borat. More over the top and brought out a lot of what is wrong with America.

I loved the movie and recommend it to everyone.

I'm waiting for the movie to start. I'll post an update when it finishes. Update: it was really good, but I liked Borat more.

I saw it. I my reaction after the movie ended was "...."

I cannot believe they allowed that to be played in theaters. So inappropriate. It had some really funny parts but overall I didn't think it was as good as Borat which I didn't even love that much. I thought it mirrored Borat too much too.

For those who have seen Borat but not Bruno... its basically an hour and a half of scenes as disgusting as Borat and his manager running around naked, if not even more disturbing.

I hope they don't show this movie outside of the US. They will make everyone think we are all those true southern rednecks with 3 missing teeth haha.

It looks like of lame to me, but then I believe the movie is aimed at the younger folks then my generation.

Just saw it and didn't like it that much. Obviously way over the top but not ever believable. At least in Borat there was a real sense that the people he was interacting with had no idea they were being played. In Bruno, that was rarely the case except for maybe the last cage wrestling scene.

I loved Borat, saw it a couple times in theaters and bought the DVD, just plain love it.

This, not so much. Of course I laughed, there were a lot of funny moments. The problem I had with it was that it seemed way too forced, too scripted. Yes, Borat was scripted as well, but not like this. I think I just expected it to blow me away, but it didn't.

I think I overhyped it to myself. All I know is that it didn't live up to Borat, in my opinion.
