Ever since the Series 0, I’ve lamented the fact that Apple hasn’t made a brushed stainless steel Apple Watch. The titanium is great and pretty close, but the warmer color of the metal doesn’t quite match perfectly with some bands, like the link bracelet, and titanium itself is a little softer than steel (albeit stronger for the weight.)

So...I decided to take one of my old Series 0 stainless steel watches and give it a quick brushing with a scotchbrite pad. This was a quick job for proof of concept, but I feel like I can get it looking very nice with some time (around the crown is most difficult.) What do you think??? 😀

Looks good. Another forum member did the same thing to one of his (still valuable) watches several years ago, and it was quite impressive.

Thanks. I have an order in for the new titanium model, but this makes me wonder if I have the guts to get steel and go for it. 🤔

I wouldn’t try it, unless you are an unofficial expert with your grinding pad. If something happened, you would end up needing therapy.

I don’t know. It’s already about 80% there with little effort, and I could always take it to a watch maker if I screw it up. 🤔

Great Job. It sounds like you got the results that you wanted. 👍

I went the opposite direction with the S7 Natural Titanium. I like the light weight and durability of the Ti models, but I prefer the shiny polished look. So I polished my S7 NaTi to a high gloss. I too am happy with the result.

Nice Job... The brushed finish looks very even. Well Done!!!
