Hello All,
Since I started to investigate about the fantastic world of PowerPC Macs, I never run across in this forum with a tutorial or subject about one of the most Highest Rated mods from Moddb website.
what I did to play this in my PB running 10.4 Tiger?
I went to ZDoom Website and downloaded ZDoom 2.8.1 (Link), after that I visited moddb webiste and downloaded the BDv20 Legacy edition Link (this is really important).
I unzipped ZDoom and copied the App to Applications folder,
After that copied the DOOM2 WAD included in the moddb file to /Library/Application Support/ZDoom (if the folder does not exist, you'll have to create it)
Then I opened brutalv20b.pk3 included in the zip file (from moddb) and you are done! it will open DOOM2 with this Epic Mod.. totally a different experience and a Must.
The FPS sometimes are below 10FPS during heavy combat but normally they are below 30FPS (tested on a G4 1Ghz DVI with the GeForce FX Go5200 with 32MB VRam)
I'm sure that there should be a better way to get more FPS but honestly I did not touch any video configuration, only the mouse settings.
Regards
