Just received my full protection matte set from BestSkinsEver but since it is wet install I am a bit wary of popping it on.

Have any of you had experience installing these?

I'm particularly concerned with applying the skin to the lid especially as there is a gap between the Apple logo and the aluminum body. Will the solution seep through the gap?

Also, how long did you let the application cure/dry before turning on your machine?

Any other comments regarding your BSE skins would also be helpful.

Thanks!

I installed this on my 15". I used painter's tape to cover the port and holes and applied the solution sparingly. I controlled myself not to use the system for 12 hours just to make sure. Here are some pics:

I ended up taking off the skin on the trackpad. Just like the feel of glass better.

Overall, the matte skin feels and looks like bare aluminum. I've tried the traditional skin on my MBA and it just looked to shiny. This is the closest look to aluminum with any skin out there.
